So a friend of mine loves
Despicable Me as much as my little boy, and I wanted to make her something special for her birthday. After searching online for awhile I found several ideas. One idea was to cute a Twinkies in half and stick it on top of a cupcake. Next you were to decorate the Twinkies with icing and smarties for eyes. As I read comments from the person everyone said that the Twinkies dry out really fast and are gross once they have sat out. Instantly this creation popped in my head. Why not just leave them in their wrappers? So I went to work just using regular acrylic paint and painted straight on the plastic. Then I hot glued white smarties for eyes to the plastic and used a black sharpie for the black dot in the eye, and a little black hair lines. (might not want to eat those: hot glue, sharpie. You choose)
Afterwards I thought these would make great party favors and cost next to nothing! Also how cute would it be if your kid opened their lunch box and a minion was inside? or your husband his briefcase? Guess you have to be a minion lover like us to smile every time you see these little guys.
